The Gorn arrives at the Iwate Tsunami Memorial Museum in Rikuzentakata, Japan to pay his respects to those lost in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake of 3-11-11. No photos allowed inside, but it's moving and well done and worth the trip.

The Gorn takes a look at the tsunami barrier wall that was placed where the town of Rikuzentakata meets the ocean - site of the massive tsunami that hit and overwhelmed the previous wall and forest that was in this spot back in March, 2011.

The Gorn with the ruins of the Youth Hostel, destroyed in the tsunami on March 11, 2011 and the "Miracle Pine" - the lone tree that survived the disaster that used to be in a forest. Experts speculate the Youth Hostel saved the tree. Since the disaster, the tree has been preserved as it was inundated with salt water and was dying.
