It’s November and it is time to go home. We checked out of the Kazusaya before 11 and that gave us a couple of hours to wander around Tokyo before coming back and then getting the Narita Express back to the airport. We decided to head over to Shibuya to go to Tokyo Hands Department store and the Loft to see if there was anything that we wanted to get. I picked up some notebooks but that was about it.
From there, we made our way back over to Harajuku to look at the shops on Takeshita street again. We had plenty of time to wander around the various shops, but I didn’t see anything that I really needed to get. Our final stop was to Shinjuku to take a look at a couple of places around the train station before finally heading back to the Kazusaya. As we grabbed our bags, we made sure to take a photo of our tree again outside the Shin-Nihombashi station before getting on the Narita Express.
The trip to the airport was uneventful and at Narita we did our usual McDonald’s fix in the airport before getting on the plane since we didn’t know what the food was going to be like onboard the flight home. I was glad we had the direct flight back to Los Angeles and didn’t have to worry about the switch like we did in San Jose last time.
Well, this trip is finally over as we arrived in Los Angeles and headed home. I was dropped off at the apartment and now I get to do laundry and re-live November 1 all over again. It was super cool to head back to Japan again this year. I am not sure this is something I will do again as there are so many places still to see in the world. However I do know I will be back in Japan again!
