I finished the CHOC walk on Sunday and I was quite surprised how much fun I had. We got up at the early hour of 5am and made it to the Resort on time, thanks to ditching the Harbor Blvd. exit off the I-5 and going up the back way. The walk itself was through both theme parks and it was fun seeing all the characters out and about as well as the usual background attractions cycling. After the walk, we got to stop by the swag tables in Downtown Disney where we picked up some trinkets and best of all more Farrell’s coupons. Daniel won a train whistle, and I got a piggy bank.
I truly was moved by all the people there to support the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and the families of the kids that utilized the hospital who were there. The walkers and sponsors raised $1.9 Million and I was glad to contribute $105.
Thanks to Mom, Shirley and John, and Daniel for giving to the cause! Daniel has already told me that we will be doing it again next year, and hopefully more people we know will walk with us.
