Wandering the site tonight I’ve discovered that a lot of the old embedded videos are long gone and some links are totally dead. I’ve had a blog on the site since 2000, and I’ll be honest, I haven’t really done good maintenance on the old entries. Considering they’ve been converted from a manual site to Movable Type and then to WordPress, it’s amazing how good of shape they really are.
I managed to fix some of the YouTube links in the Entertainment category, and as I play with the site in the next year with my new found focus, I hope to fix the rest of the links.
I wonder if longtime bloggers like Jason Kottke have this problem, and if so what do they do?
