Last night’s entertainment was On Her Majesty’s Secret Service or as I like to refer it: The Star Trek III of James Bond Movies – basically a good character piece that does not get the respect that it deserves. Telly Savalas has a great time as Blofeld and Diana Rigg is great as Tracy. George Lazenby does an OK job as Bond (I thought he walked kind of funny) but he and the movie do advance 007’s character by leaps and bounds by allowing us to see him emote on a grand scale. Bummer of an ending though, and the pre-titles sequence is one of the weakest of the series.
