Inspired by the people who actually got off their lazy butts and accomplished something by running the Disneyland 1/2 Marathon, Daniel and I decided to do something good. For the first time, we have decided to do the CHOC Walk on October 17th, 2010. . This walk is a 5k walk throughout the Disneyland Resort. Proceeds raised by the participants go to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County,the only dedicated pediatric health care facility for families in south Orange County and the surrounding areas.
The do good work, as I have met several fellow Cast Members who have directly been helped by the people at CHOC. They are also right next door to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange, the place that Daniel was sent when he broke his leg last year. It seems like a good thing to help give back to those who helped him when he needed it the most.
I have a pretty modest goal of $100 to raise for the walk. Minimum donation is at $50 in order to participate, and I have already chipped in some money to get the ball rolling.
