National Park Scorecard (so far)

It’s Travel Tuesday here at Club Josh which means, yes a filler post! Still on track for a post a day on the site – even if I have had to go back and add some that I just plain ran out of time to write on the specific day.

Last summer I bought a National Park annual pass, and I have certainly been trying to get my money’s worth. The main reason for the purchase was the 5 Utah National Park visit we did back in August of 2013 (really, there is a trip diary somewhere!). The price of admission to those parks was more than $80 so the pass had already paid for itself by the time we headed back to Southern California. If you know you are going to visit a few parks in a year, this pass is well worth the expense. I cannot recommend it more.

Since August, we have made some trips to additional parks with the pass so for no reason below, here are the parks we have visited so far with the National Park AP:
Arches
Canyonlands
Capitol Reef
Bryce Canyon
Zion
Pinnacles
Channel Islands
Joshua Tree
Sequoia
and for fun Cabrillo National Monument

Our 10th park will be Grand Canyon in April, and maybe for fun, we will hit Kings Canyon and Yosemite before the pass expires. I’d love to go to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier as well, but those are proving to be a bit harder to schedule so it might be on next years pass.
