Month 11 – The End In Sight

This week is the one year anniversary of the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown. I started to work from home and Daniel and I began spending 99% of the time in our apartment. It’s been 11 months since I stopped working. Ironically, last year I was supposed to go to Arizona and have a 4-day weekend and see some Spring Training baseball.

Flash forward to this week and I’ve finally got the news I have been waiting for – it’s time to start working again. It’s great news and I am excited to get back at it. It will be strange for sure since it is not like I am just going back to the way things were, but instead going into the new world order of covid life and working. It will take some getting used to for sure but I am ready for it.

More and more of my friends and family are getting their vaccines and I am super excited I will be getting mine at some point in the next month or so. Just need to avoid Covid like the plague! I do have regrets I didn’t finish my photo scanning or my trip diaries. I don’t really focus on missing that goal since, in reality, my goal has been to not get Covid and not to lose my apartment, car, or anything else. One thing that has been reinforced is to have money in the bank and have a plan in case things go south!

I am hoping to continue to plod away at the diaries and photo albums evenings and weekends so I guess I should set a new goal of completing them for the next site anniversary in June. Seems reasonable!!
